The company, already a nationally renowned expert in natural building services, counting HRH Prince Charles amongst its private clients, starts a masonry products division leveraging its rare expertise. An unfired clay block and plaster system will bring the volume construction industry a ‘future-proof’ portfolio of products.
Clay has superlative environmental credentials. It outstrips the energy efficiency record and the economics of conventional masonry as plaster/board and paints are effectively not needed. The value creation is compelling through conversion of waste/recycled materials from SW England. This will appeal to developers
for its technical credentials and to homeowners for the sheer beauty of clay plasters and the associated health benefits and comfort attached to living in clay. Unique in the UK.
Projected growth to 4mn turnover by 2014, av. 20% operating margins, seeks £190k equity for CAP/OPEX and potential for active management if background in related field.
