The company has developed and produced a new ‘snowsports’ sliding surface designed to fit existing sites and new installations.
In the UK there are approximately 76 ‘dry ski’ slopes each estimated to spend an average of £20k per annum a total £1.4 million spend on replacement matting. Currently this is mainly limited to the old style Dendix, because of a lack of viable alternatives.
The market for new developments is approximately £5-7m with one or two new facilities every 2 years.
The product is being manufactured in China at a ‘landed price’ of £41 per square metre and sold at £95 plus VAT and fitting costs, which competes well against competitors.
The company has a product that is warmly received by the industry and backed by firm interest and pre-sales.
The South West Regional Development Agency has backed an R&D project to the sum of £20,000.
The company is seeking investment of £70,000. The money will be used to match fund the R&D project, and to fund the first order production. The remaining money will be used to support marketing and promotional activities.
The IP for the product is protected by Registered Design.
In addition to the matting product, the company is exploring the option of operating branded sites, through acquisition and joint ventures, and expanding into full ‘Adrenaline Centres’.
This would allow brand development of a chain of centres and generating a revenue stream to add value to the group.
The eventual aim/exit strategy is to sell to a larger leisure or entertainments group.
Based in
Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, seeking
investment of
£75,000.
